The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team faces one of the top teams in America East tonight when they face the UMBC Retrievers in Catonsville, Maryland.  Tipoff is set for 7 PM with air at 645 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  Coming into the game the Retrievers are 4-2 in the conference and overall 13-8.  They are undefeated at home boasting a 9-0 record at the RAC Arena.  Binghamton is 1-5 in America East and 10-11 overall.

In the series between the two teams the Bearcats have a 16-15 advantage but the Retrievers have won the last three games in a row.  At UMBC the Retrievers hold a 10-4 advantage.

UMBC is coming off a 83-39 blowout loss at Albany on Sunday.  BU is trying to rebound from a 79-71 loss at home to UMass Lowell.

Jairus Lyles is the top gun for UMBC.  He is averaging 20.3 points per game which also puts him on top in America East scoring.  He is a former teammate of Bearcat standout  Thomas Bruce at DeMatha Catholic. The Retrievers are ranked fourth in the nation in three-point shots made averaging 11.5 treys per game.

J.C.Show is Binghamton's scoring leader averaging 15.1 points per game.  Bruse is second in team scoring with a 12.1 average while Willie Rodriguez is also hitting double figures with a 10.4 points per game average.
