The Binghamton Bearcats the Stony Brook Seawolves. The game marked the beginning of the second half of the America East schedule for both teams. The Bearcats are 2-6 and face the conference's top team.  Stony Brook is 8-0 in America East competition, 17-4 overall and has won 13 straight games...the longest winning streak in the nation among Division I teams.

The Bearcats will face the stiff challenge of contending with NBA prospect Jameel Warney.  Warney has owned America East.  He is averaging 18.2 points per game and 10.4 rebounds.  As a team Stony Brook is shooting 48 percent from the field and averaging 77 points per game.  The Seawolves have the best defense in the conference giving up 61.7 points per game.

For the Bearcats Willie Rodriguez continues to be the top gun.  Wil Rod is averaging 14.3 points per game which is fifth highest in America East.  Emerging star Thomas Bruce is coming off a career high 16 points versus Maine.  Bruce is shooting 58 percent from the field and is averaging 5.4 rebounds per game.  Timmy Rose has given the Bearcats quality minutes off the bench.  In the last three games Rose has averaged 8.3 points per contest.
