The Binghamton Devils started off the weekend with an exciting come from behind victory over the Hershey Bears on Friday night, but lost the second of a back-to-back to Hershey in overtime last night.

Friday night the Binghamton Devils dug themselves out of a hole trailing 4 to 1, Jesper Boqvist scored to putt the Devils within two, then Fabian Zetterlund scored off a power play to pull Binghamton to within one, and shortly after Boqvist scored his second goal of the night tying the game at four a piece.

Zetterlund would score the winning goal, his second of the night to win the game 5-4.

Last night the teams played in front of 1,179 fans at GIANT stadium in Hershey, the Devils line started off with a goal off a rebound to Nolan Foote for the first goal of the night, and ending the first period up 1-0.

Hershey’s Garrett Pilon tied the game at one a piece, but moments later Graeme Clarke scored off a set up from Ben Street to put the Devils back in front 2-1 after two.

The Bear’s down by one late, and an extra skater on the ice, Connor McMichael tied the game with 54 seconds left in regulation to force another overtime game.

The wasn’t the last for McMichael who beat Cormier from the hash marks and scored the winning goal with one second left in overtime to seal a 3-2 win for Hershey .

The Binghamton Devils will host the Lehigh Valley Phantoms this Friday March 26 at 7pm from the RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House in Newark.
