The Phantoms scored a pair of goals in the final period to put away the Binghamton Devils for the second straight night with a 6-3 victory.

Binghamton Devils lost back-to-back matches with their North Division rivals the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, starting the weekend with a 3-2 loss at the RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House on Friday Night.

The score was tied going into the third period, when the Devils had a chance to score on a five minute power play, but failed to do so, and the Phantoms Tanner Laczynski sealed the victory with a hat trick goal.

Saturday Night the match up shifted to the PPL Center, and the Phantoms struck early with just a little over a minute into the game, Chris Bigras fired a shop into the net.

Binghamton evened the score on a shot from Connor Carrick.

The game went back and forth in the first period knotted at two a piece, when Lehigh Valley’s Wade Allison scored to put the Phantoms up 3-2 in period two

The Devils Travis St. Denis scored his first goal of the year on a power play to even the score again at 3-3, when Tanner Laczynski scored his fourth goal of the weekend putting the Phantoms ahead for good.

The Phantoms padded their lead with goals from Max Willman and Ryan Fitzgerald in the 6-3- win.

Binghamton falls to 3-11 and are at the bottom of the AHL’s North division.

The Binghamton Devils will host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this Wednesday March 31 at 7pm from the RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House in Newark.
