In his announcement, Stephen Donnelly said the “haphazard decision is exactly the reason why I am campaigning for Town of Vestal Councilman.”
Lawmakers voted unanimously to allow the “Retreat at Bunn Hill” construction to move ahead.
Many residents nearby had raised concerns about runoff, the number of people suddenly moving into the area, parking, access and other issues. Some of those residents have indicated they may take the fight to court.
In his campaign announcement, Donnelly said, as a business owner, he’s in support of business in Vestal but felt current lawmakers failed to make sure a commercial development was fully vetted and constituents needs were respected.
