Another Restaurant to Debut at Popular Endwell Site

A new diner is expected to open for business in the next few weeks at a location in Endwell that's been home to many eateries over the past several decades.

Signs for The Union Diner at 3000 East Main Street were erected on Friday.

A firm opening date for the new business has not been set. In an email, Kim Rogers told WNBF News that she is finalizing plans for the restaurant. She said it's possible the place could be ready to open in mid-February.

The building most recently housed the Nadius Diner, which closed last April

The site has been popular for a series of restaurants over a span of several decades. For many years, people flocked to Grover's Pig Stand for pork barbecue sandwiches.

Among the other restaurants on the property in more recent years were Rogues Harbor Inn, the Alamo, the Peppermill and Crossroads Diner.

Broome County records show the property was purchased last February by Thomas Lazaros of Endwell. Lazaros did not return a call seeking comment.
