The Binghamton Bearcats fell to the fifth-ranked Albany Great Danes Saturday in Albany in the America East Men's Lacrosse Championship game.  Albany earned a 20-8 victory to advance to the NCAA Tournament and improves to 14-2.  The Great Danes enter the NCAA's as an eighth-seed. They will host defending National Champion North Carolina this Saturday at 7:30 PM at the home of the Great Danes, Casey Stadium.  This marks the fifth consecutive year that Albany advances to the NCAA Tournament.  The Great Danes have notched three wins all-time in the NCAA's.

The Bearcats close their season with a record of 11-5 and advanced to the America East Championship Round for the first time since 2004.  The 11 wins sets a new Bearcat single season win record.  Tom Moore was a standout for the Bearcats in the title game.  The First-Team All-Conference selection scored three goals to finish his season total at 48.

Three Bearcats earned All-Tournament honors.  Senior Garrett Waldron, junior Stephen Petrelli and freshman Zach Barrett were named to the All-Tournament Team. Kevin McKeown, who played in the Bearcats' championship contest in 2004, was named America East Coach of the Year for leading Binghamton a record-setting 11 victories.
