Albany Too Tough at Home
The Albany Great Danes women's basketball team answered the Binghamton Bearcats' challenge for second place in America East and defeated BU 80-63 at the SEFCU Arena last night. The win completes the season sweep for the Great Danes. Albany defeated the Bearcats 67-61 last month at the Events Center.
Alyssa James led the Bearcats in scoring with 21 points. She also grabbed seven rebounds and blocked four shots. Imani Watkins also hit double figures with ten points for Binghamton.
Albany's victory ups their America East record to 9-3. The Bearcats drop to 7-5. Heading into the weekend New Hampshire is on top in America East with a 10-1 record. Their only loss was to Albany at the SEFCU Arena 64-55 last month.
Binghamton faces another tough road test when they travel to Durham to meet the Wildcats on Sunday at 1 PM (air at 12:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM). New Hampshire defeated the Bearcats at the Events Center 72-62 on January 14th.
