The Albany Great Danes proved that they continue to be one of the top women's teams in America East as they defeated the Binghamton Bearcats 71-62 at the Events Center on Saturday afternoon. The win ups Albany's record to 6-3 in the conference and 9-13 overall. Binghamton falls to 4-5 in America East and 9-13 overall. Albany is in third place behind Maine and Hartford who are each in with 8-1 slates. The Bearcats sit in sixth place in the conference.

Kai Moon paced the Bearcats with 20 points while Rebecca Carmody scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Carmody has now scored 966 career points, 18th on the all-time school list. Binghamton High graduate Annie Ramil also hit double digit scoring figures with 13 points.

Carmody and Kai Moon are tied for first place in Bearcat scoring. Each has been averaging 13.7 points per game. The Bearcats next game is on Long Island when they travel to face Stony Brook on Wednesday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the Island Federal Arena. That game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM with Cam Lavallee calling the action. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:45 P.M.
