Authorities are investigating the death of an Afton man who was killed when a vehicle he was working on fell on him May 14.

New York State Police and Chenango County Emergency Services officials had little information but said the 50-year-old man was working on a car on Oak Hill Avenue at around 6:30 p.m. when the vehicle fell, crushing him.

His name has not been released.

The New York State Police, Chenango County Sheriff’s office and Harpursville Fire Department responded to the scene where the man was pronounced dead.
