A Chenango County Man is Accused of Having Sex With a Child

A Chenango County man is accused of having sexual contact with a 13 year old.

Sheriff’s officials say 20 year old Thomas Knickerbocker of Sherburne was arrested after deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle in the Town of Norwich and found the man allegedly engaging in sexual contact with the child in the vehicle.

Investigators say they discovered Knickerbocker had been talking to the child over Facebook and had been sending the teen indecent material.

Knickerbocker is charged with criminal sexual act, possessing a sexual performance by a child, disseminating indecent material to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $1,000 bail.
