According to a press release today (December 4) from the New York State Police Troop C in Sidney, officers arrested Patricia Crossman of Greene, New York on December 3, 2024.

Crossman was charged with 21 counts of the Agriculture and Markets Law for overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals and failure to provide proper sustenance.

Initially, on November 12, investigators were advised of a possible animal cruelty case at a home on NY 206 in the Town of Coventry. After a visit, investigators determined that the cats were living in deplorable conditions at the home and also in surrounding buildings on the property.

On November 13, New York State Police Officers with the assistance of the Susquehanna SPCA removed 21 cats from the property. The cats are now receiving medical care from the Susquehanna SPCA facility.

New York State Police report that Crossman was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Coventry Town Court on December 18th.

The Binghamton Home Page website notes that Crossman is the woman who was frequently seen alongside Upper Front Street, waving to motorists.
