The 14th  Annual Garlic Festival is set for this Saturday, August 26th at the American Civic Association at 131 Front Street in Binghamton. The Garlic Festival will be held from 11 AM - 6 PM.  Visitors will get the chance to buy various kinds of garlic and sample many foods utilizing garlic.  One of the always popular favorites is garlic ice cream...vanilla ice cream with garlic pieces added.

Over 25 vendors are expected to be on hand throughout the day featuring crafts, clothing and recipes and ideas on using garlic in your cooking.  In addition to garlic there will be a variety of music and dancing performances as well as plenty of food from multi-ethnic backgrounds.

Proceeds from the Garlic Festival benefit the American Civic Association which was founded in 1939.  The organization helps immigrants adjust to living in America.  Services include training in citizenship and speaking English as well as legal consulting and job placement.

WNBF's Roger Neel will broadcast live from this year's Garlic Fest from 11 AM - 1 PM.  Visit Roger and look for WNBF souvenirs and Rumble Ponies' tickets.
