Other Winterfest activities from 12-4 p.m.include sledding, music, skating, a bonfire, guided hikes and s'mores.

Animal Adventure Park, Ross Park Zoo and a Beer Garden featuring Beer Tree Brew Company will also be on hand.

Admission is free.

Organizers say it’s hoped having events like a winter festival will help encourage people to not only just get outside and moving around during the cold weather, but also celebrate the season.
