B-Mets Host Harrisburg This Weekend

The Binghamton Mets had a big opening home game last night when they crushed the Harrisburg Senators 9-3 at NYSEG Stadium.  TJ Rivera was in mid-season form as he went 4-4, drove in three runs and scored another three runs. Going back to last season Rivera has notched at least one hit in 19 of the last 20 regular season games.  Rainy Lara gave up three runs in five innings to up his record to 2-0.

Two teenage boys have been accused of stealing computers and cash from a Tompkins County elementary school.

An Endicott man is under arrest in connection with the discovery of a methamphetamine manufacturing operation on Lester Avenue in Johnson City over the weekend.

Rod Serling Exhibit Opens in Binghamton

A new Rod Serling exhibit is open at the Bundy Museum of History and Art in Binghamton.
The archive of objects associated with Rod Serling, who grew up in Binghamton and who created The Twilight Zone TV series will be on display for about six months with items, including letters, scripts, props and photos being rotated about every month.

Binghamton Mayor Richard David says the City would like to help people realize the dream of home ownership.

A First-Time Homebuyer program is being introduced that would provide up to $5,000 to help with closing costs, up to $20,000 for rehabilitation of a single-family home and up to $40,000 toward the rehabilitation of a two family home
