Kevin Sutherland and Wes Short, Jr. share the lead after the opening round of the Dick's Sporting Goods Open at En Joie Golf Course in Endicott.  Each shot seven under par rounds of 65 to hold a one stroke edge on four golfers and a two stroke advantage over another group of five.

Both leaders have "enjoyed" success at En Joie.  Short, Jr finished in second place last year two shots behind the tournament winner Paul Goydos.  Sutherland has been red-hot.  He finished in a tie for third place two weeks ago in the 3M Championship and in the 2014 Dick's Sporting Goods Open fired a Tour of Champions record round of 59.  He has 10 Top-10 finishes so far this year.

One stroke off the pace is a group that includes: Mark Brooks, Russ Cochran, Cory Pavin and Colin Montgomery.  Standing two shots back are:  two-time BC Open Champion Joey Sindelar along with Fran Quinn, Woody Austin, Billy Andrade and Jerry Smith.

Play gets underway tomorrow (Saturday) beginning at 9:05 AM.  News Radio 1290 WNBF will have live reports throughout the afternoon beginning at 1:30 PM.
