Paul Goydos won the 2016 Dick's Sporting Goods Open today (Sunday) by two strokes over Wes Short, Jr and by three strokes over Neal Lancaster.  Goydos finished with a round of 69 for a total of 202.  Short, Jr. also shot 69 today while Lancaster shot two under 70 for his 205 total.  Last year Goydos finished in second place with a 204 total that was two strokes behind champion Jeff Maggert.  Interestingly, last year's top two scores were the same as this year's with two strokes difference.  This time Goydos finished on top.

Goydos, out of Long Beach, CA takes home the $300,000 first place check.  This was his third victory on the Champions Tour.  Joe Durant and John Riegger finished at ten under par for total scores of 206.  Riegger held a share of the lead with Goydos after two rounds of play.

John Daly, the 1992 B C Open champion, started the day three strokes behind the front runners but slipped with a score of 73, two over par, today and finished tied for eleventh with a 209 total.
