A fast-moving fire caused extensive damage to a single-family residence near an Endicott school.

The blaze at 206 South Loder Avenue broke out around 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Flames were seen shooting from windows near the rear of the house before firefighters arrived.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire in the structure located southwest of Jennie F. Snapp Middle School.

The blaze was brought under control after about 45 minutes.

Endicott firefighters were assisted by units from West Endicott, Vestal and Union Center.

Broome County fire investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.
