Girl Jailed After Traffic Stop On I-81 In Kirkwood

A 17-year-old girl was sent to Broome County Jail after she was pulled over for speeding near the Gateway Welcome Center in Kirkwood.

According to state police, Briana Frank of Syracuse was arrested Wednesday following a traffic stop on Interstate 81.

Troopers say Frank provided a false name to keep from being identified. They say she also possessed a small amount of marijuana.

Frank was charged with false personation, marijuana possession, speeding and operating without a driver license.

The girl was arraigned in Kirkwood town court and sent to jail on $750 bail.
