Yankees Hosted Astros in Wild-Card

The Astros started Dallas Keuchel on the mound while the Yankees counter with Masahiro Tanaka.  Keuchel is 2-0 versus the Yankees this season.  It was the first time Tanaka faced the Astros.

Houston led the Major Leagues in home runs with 230 this season.  The Astros had difficulty playing on the road and are 33-48 away from home.  New York limps into the post-season.  The Yankees lost six of their last seven games and had trouble producing runs in the second half of the season.

New York did not have starting pitcher C.C. Sabathia available.  He announced yesterday that he was checking himself into a rehabilitation facility to battle alcohol abuse.  A big key will be the productivity of Alex Rodriguez.  He surprised many by coming off of a year-long suspension by hitting 33 home runs and driving in 86 runs while playing in 151 games.
