Woman Pleads Not Guilty in Oxford Murder

A Chenango County woman is to go on trial in connection with the killing of an Oxford man.

42 year old Melissa Crispell has pleaded not guilty to five counts, including two murder charges in the September slaying of 58 year old David Green during a robbery at a small, quiet lake-side community on Charles Kelly Road on Gary Lake.  46 year old Jeremy Coates is also charged with murder.

Green was found dead in his living room September 26 by neighbors who noticed they had not seen him for a few days.

Chenango County Sheriff’s officials said they believe Green was killed between September 23 and the evening of September 24.

Investigators say Green died of blunt force trauma.
