NYSEG says traffic between Exits 62 to Nichols and 63 to Lounsberry will be impacted starting at 6 a.m. and could last 12 hours.

According to a news release from the company, traffic will not be stopped but, at certain times, traffic control vehicles will slow things down on the Expressway.

Officials say the lower traffic flow speed will ensure crews can safely pull the powerlines across the highway.

It's anticipated the slow down will happen four times during the 12-hour work period.

New York State Police and other state and local agencies will be coordinating with NYSEG on the activity.
