Wegmans Food Markets is warning its customers that someone pretending to be from the company has been posting on Facebook, falsely claiming to be giving away a free $200 grocery coupon.

Wegmans vice president of media relations, Jo Natale says the post is fraudulent and customers should not click on it, share it or provide personal information.

The Facebook post shows a Wegmans storefront with the claim the company is giving away a coupon.  The so-called giveaway is neither affiliated with or supported by Wegmans.

Natale says the company, that owns 88 supermarkets in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and Massachusetts, is actively working to have the fraudulent post removed from Facebook.
