Wegmans Partially Restores Store Hours
It's not back to 24 hours yet, but Wegman’s grocery stores are closer to returning to normal.
Over the weekend, the Rochester-based supermarket chain announced stores would be open 6 a.m. to midnight.
The chain, which operates a store in Johnson City, trimmed hours from 24 hours to 6 a-m to midnight around March 13 for most of its outlets as the coronavirus outbreak began. Just four days later, Wegman’s hours were again trimmed to 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
There’s no word from the company when it plans to return to 24-hour operations.
The company has 101 stores with 47 in New York, 18 in Pennsylvania, nine in New Jersey, 12 in Virginia, eight in Maryland, six in Massachusetts and one in North Carolina.
