Wegmans Set to Host Halloween Parade at Johnson City Store
An annual tradition will continue as Wegmans holds its "Halloween Parade" event at its Johnson City store.
Several hundred children and adults are expected to show up at the Harry L. Drive site for indoor and outdoor activities.
Store manager David Orlovsky said this year's Halloween Parade will be held on Tuesday (October 24) from 4 to 7 p.m.
Orlovsky said plans for the event include an outdoor trunk or treat car show. A firetruck also is to be on display at the store.
The Halloween Parade will be inside with kids - and some parents - dressed in costumes. Orlovsky said this year's theme is "The Wizard of Oz."
The holiday tradition at the Johnson City Wegmans store began in 2010. It's turned into the biggest event regularly held at the Broome County store.
The Halloween Parade wasn't held at Wegmans in 2020 and 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
