A Waverly resident is charged with two felony assault counts and other charges following a reported domestic incident in the Village.

Police say 43 year old Nichole Brown was arrested after they were called to a home on Elliott Street in Waverly at 3:26 p.m. October 26.

Brown is accused of throwing boiling water on a man's back, causing serious injuries and burns. She's also accused of attempting to stab him and herself with a knife.

According to Village Police, Brown was found to be a fugitive from justice in Sayre, Pennsylvania and was taken to the Bradford County Jail.

She was brought back to Waverly on October 30 and sent to the Tioga County Jail on $25,000 bail.

Immediately following the October 26 incident, both Brown and the victim were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Brown is charged with two felony assault counts as well as misdemeanor menacing and criminal mischief.
