Water Damage Closes Downtown Binghamton Store

The CVS store on Court Street in downtown Binghamton was closed today because of water damage, apparently related to the heavy rains that fell across the region Wednesday.

Signs on the front and back doors of the business indicated the store was not open but did not provide information as to when operations might resume.

Ladders were set up on the south side of the building off Hawley Street to give workers access to the roof of the store.

A CVS employee at the store said she was not authorized to discuss the matter. Representatives at CVS corporate offices in Rhode Island were not immediately available to provide information about the extent of the damage.
