Walton Man Accused of Trying to Outrun Deputies While DWI

A Walton man is accused of trying to outrun a Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputy in a vehicle.

Officials say 56 year old Patrick Macdonald was arrested at 12:07 a.m. March 25 following a chase that began in the Town of Walton and ended in the Town of Franklin.

Macdonald is charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated drunk driving with a blood alcohol content of .18% or higher, unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a vehicle, obstructing governmental administration, reckless driving and several vehicle and traffic violations.

He was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $2,500 bail.
