Residents can go online to help the Junior League and Kopernik Observatory in Vestal raise money for the construction of the Kopernik Science Park.

Construction on the park that will allow visitors to explore science and math concepts in an outdoor play space with public programs also available can get underway once $400,000 is raised.

The project has raised $350,000 and the total budget for development is 535-thousand dollars.

People can vote online every day through May 12 at http://act.usatoday.com/submit-an-idea/#/gallery/57499574. The top ten projects with the most votes in each category will be reviewed by judges who will select the final winners to win up to $100,000.
