The Kopernik Observatory and Science Center on Underwood Road in Vestal will celebrate 50 years in 2023 but is asking for help in developing a strategic plan for the future.

The Board of Directors is starting to assess the current state of programs and operations and make plans for strengthening the facility’s position as a regional education center for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

The board is asking for patrons to complete a survey about their experiences with Kopernik with input on strengths and possible improvements.

The center is asking for the anonymous surveys to be completed before December 1.
