Kopernik Observatory Seeks Input on Plans for Next 50 Years
The local observatory and science center is getting ready to celebrate 50 years of gazing at the stars but is also looking to the future.
The Kopernik Observatory and Science Center on Underwood Road in Vestal will celebrate 50 years in 2023 but is asking for help in developing a strategic plan for the future.
The Board of Directors is starting to assess the current state of programs and operations and make plans for strengthening the facility’s position as a regional education center for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
The board is asking for patrons to complete a survey about their experiences with Kopernik with input on strengths and possible improvements.
The center is asking for the anonymous surveys to be completed before December 1.
