Elementary students in the Vestal Central School District will be hearing some important fire safety lessons this month.

Vestal Fire Department representatives are providing information to children who attend five schools during "Fire Safety Month."

Fire prevention information was offered to children at Vestal Hills Elementary School on Monday.

Fire safety lessons are to be presented to African Road and Tioga Hills elementary students on Wednesday.

Kindergarten children at Glenwood Elementary School will hear from Sparky the Fire-Safety Dog on Thursday.

First-grade students and teachers from Clayton Avenue Elementary School are scheduled to walk to the Vestal Fire Station Number One on October 28 so they can learn about fire safety and see some of the department's vehicles and equipment.
