Recent Vestal Police Blotter Highlights Local Arrests

The Vestal Police Department released its latest arrest blotter on April 24th, 2026. Activities and arrests are listed below. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Burglary & Grand Larceny

From this week's report, Cassius Butler from Depew, New York, was arrested for Burglary in the 3rd Degree and Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree for entering Lowe’s after previously being trespassed from the location. Butler was accused of shoplifting $2,681 in merchandise.

Criminal Possession

47-year-old Heather Madden of Binghamton was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Petit Larceny, Unlicensed Operator, Uninspected Motor Vehicle, and Uninsured Motor Vehicle for shoplifting from Target and possessing Meth after a traffic stop.

Assault

Arrested for Assault in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing - 23-year-old Vestal resident, Jacob Hernandez.

Endangering the Welfare of a Child

38-year-old Elijah Moffitt from Vestal was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Harassment

Seth Jennings from Binghamton was arrested for Harassment in the 2nd Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree for grabbing a victim several times, throwing her on the ground, preventing her from leaving a residence, and taking her cell phone.

Jamillia Ruiz from Binghamton was arrested for two counts of Harassment in the 2nd Degree for fighting with two victims after a verbal altercation.

42-year-old Rumi Alam of Vestal was arrested for Harassment in the 2nd Degree for threatening a victim with physical harm.

Petit Larceny

Kimberlee Pontello, age 38, from Liverpool, New York, was arrested for two counts of Petit Larceny for shoplifting from Kohl’s on two different dates.

After a larceny investigation, 30-year-old Steven Blazey from Endicott was arrested for Petit Larceny, Falsifying Business Records in the 1st Degree, Unregistered Trailer, and No/Inadequate Lights on the trailer after a traffic stop.

Mercedez Lee was arrested for Petit Larceny for shoplifting from Old Navy.
