Woman Hurt, Vestal Parkway Traffic Slowed by Rollover Crash
A car overturned onto its roof after it collided with another vehicle in heavy rush-hour traffic on Route 434 in Vestal.
The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of the Vestal Parkway just west of Annetta Street around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.
A woman who was driving a Toyota RAV4 sport utility vehicle reportedly sustained lacerations when the car rolled over.
A man who had been operating a Dodge Dart GT sedan said he was not hurt. He said his vehicle was traveling east when the SUV suddenly cut in front of him.
Eastbound traffic on the parkway backed up for a time as police officers directed motorists around the crash scene.
Three Vestal Volunteer Emergency Squad ambulances were dispatched to the area following the collision, although only the woman was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Both damaged vehicles were towed from the scene about 30 minutes after the crash.
It was not known whether police planned to issue any tickets.
