A man who was a graduate of Vestal High School died while climbing Mount Washington.

According to an obituary, 37-year-old Jeremy Ullmann died Sunday in an accident while climbing the mountain in New Hampshire.

No information was provided about the circumstances surrounding Ullmann's death.

Ullmann was born in Berlin, Germany. He came to the United States as an infant and grew up in Vestal. He was a graduate of Hillel Academy and Vestal High School.

Ullmann studied biology at Brandeis University and neuroscience at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.

Ullman was a neuroscientist at Boston Children's Hospital, where he researched genetic causes of childhood epilepsy. He resided in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Funeral services were scheduled to be held Friday morning at Beth David Synagogue in Binghamton.
