Vestal Fire Expo at Lowes

The Vestal Fire Department is hosting its annual fire expo October 1 to promote fire safety and other public safety efforts.

In addition to the Vestal Fire Department, the Vestal Police will be doing a car safety check, the water rescue team will be on hand along with antique fire trucks, the Broome County Sheriff's Office, U.S.S Marshall's Office, The Broome HAZMAT trailer and New York State Police "Convincer" seat belt safety simulator.  There will also be giveaways of fire safety items and a pedal car and caricature drawings with Sparky the Fire Dog.

The expo is at the Lowes parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The home improvement store is also celebrating their 20th year with a Customer Appreciation Day and will be giving away hot dogs and popcorn.
