Vehicle Drives Into Whitney Point Speedway

No injuries are reported after a vehicle crashed into a Whitney Point convenience store February 5.

New York State Police say apparently a Killowog man was pulling into a parking spot at the Speedway shortly before 5:30 a.m. when his brakes failed and the vehicle plowed into the front of the building.

The collision broke some glass but it’s not known the extent of any other damage to the building.  The attached McDonald’s restaurant was not damaged.

State Police are blaming the crash on mechanical failure.
