An out-of-control pickup truck slammed into a gasoline pump and at least three other vehicles at a downtown Binghamton convenience store.

The bizarre crash occurred at the Citgo gas station at 210 Court Street around 3:10 p.m. Monday.

A rusty Chevrolet pickup truck smashed into an unoccupied Kia that was parked at a pump. The truck then took out another gas pump before smashing into a Ford sedan and a Chevrolet taxi.

Bob Pornbeck, the owner of Court Street Fuel Stop, said an employee told him the truck came off Court Street "like a bat outta hell."

The worker said "it was crazy. I thought we were going to blow up!" Although the truck rammed the gas pump and pushed it for several feet, there was no fire. No injuries were reported.

Officers questioned the man who was driving the truck and then handcuffed him before taking him to the police station.
