Town of Owego Man Attacked in His Front Yard

Police say a man was assaulted while in the front yard of his Town of Owego home.

Authorities say the attack occurred outside a residence on Gaskill Road.

According to state police, the man was injured when he was punched in the face several times.

Investigators say 25-year-old Casey Smith of Candor allegedly contacted the man and advised him he was planning to assault him.

Smith was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. He was ordered to appear in Owego town court on March 8.

Police say the court issued an order of protection against Smith.
