Tioga County Woman Charged with Rape

Authorities say a Tioga County woman faces a felony count after she allegedly had sexual contact with someone under the age of seventeen.

State police say 22-year-old Cheyenne Elliott was arrested on Tuesday.

Investigators say Elliott is accused of having sexual contact with the underage person at her home in the Town of Newark Valley. They say the incident was reported on April 28.

Elliott was arraigned in town court and released without bail. She was ordered to return to court on May 10.

Police say an order of protection was issued against Elliott.
