Tioga County Sheriff Gets the Cart for the Horse

The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office says it has some new equipment for dealing with calls about animal abuse.

A large animal trailer has been added to the Tioga County Sheriff Department fleet.

Officials say the trailer was acquired thanks to a donation in honor of area resident Lynn Mead, who has dedicated her life to animal rescue, especially dealing with horses.

The Sheriff’s Department says the trailer can be used to transport abused large animals to their new homes.

Sheriff Gary Howard has extended his thanks to Lynn Mead as well as Steve and Cheryl May for the donation.
