Two Delaware County teens are facing charges following a traffic stop shortly before 1 a.m. December 29 on State Highway 28 in the Town of Meredith.

Sheriff’s Deputies say 19 year olds Sean Gillespie of Bovina and Jeffrey Bowie Junior of Hamden are accused of being in possession of Ecstasy and marijuana.  Deputies say Gillespie was also in possession of Hydrocodone.

Authorities say Gillespie was driving 82 miles an hour in a 55 mile an hour zone, prompting the traffic stop.

Gillepsie is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding.

Bowie is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Each teen was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $500 bail.
