Prospect Mountain

State and local officials have plans for a lot of road work as the construction season moves into the final months of summer.

Road Projects are being done on State and County levels.

The New York State Department of Transportation is not taking a winter break from construction on the Prospect Mountain project.

The New York State Department of Transportation says as long as weather allows, work will continue on the Prospect Mountain Project in the Town of Dickinson and City of Binghamton to convert Route 17 to interstate status.

Work on upgrading State Route 17 to Interstate status, straighten out Kamikaze Curve in Binghamton and address traffic safety concerns at the 17/Interstate 81 interchanges .
