Binghamton Bearcat forward Bobby Ahearn has been named the America East Player of the Week.  Ahearn averaged 19 points and seven rebounds in two Binghamton wins last week.  Ahearn, a junior forward from Marshfield, Massachusetts hit on 75 percent of his shots going 15-20 from the field in those two victories...

The Binghamton Bearcats men's team travels to Queens, NY to face the St. John's Red Storm out of the Big East Conference.  It will be the first time the two schools will meet on the basketball court.  The game is scheduled for a 6:30 PM tipoff (air at 6:15 on News Radio 1290 WNBF)...

Binghamton High great King Rice has been named the John McLendon National Coach of the Year.  Rice led the Monmouth University men's basketball team to a program record 28 wins, a MAAC regular season title and an NIT bid.  His 28 victories included decisions over USC, UCLA, Notre Dame and Georgetown...

It's not unusual for the Stony Brook Seawolves to face the Wildcats on the basketball court.  They do so at least twice every season when they face conference opponents...the New Hampshire Wildcats.  But the opening round of the NCAA Tournament is a little different as these Wildcats are from Kentucky...

The Stony Brook Seawolves rode on the back of one of America East's all-time top performers to capture their first conference championship today (Saturday) with an 80-74 victory over the Vermont Catamounts.  Jameel Warney, a three-time America East Player of the Year winner scored a career- high 43 points, grabbed nine rebounds and made four blocks to  power the Seawolves to the crown...
