COVID deaths

There have been an unusually high number of COVID deaths in the Southern Tier reported over the week from October 31 to November 4.

New York State has now passed 75,000 COVID deaths since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020.

The Southern Tier has gone its longest since the start of the pandemic with no additional deaths.

The American Red Cross recognizes the importance of compassionate care as this pandemic continues to take more lives.

Another deadly day is being reported in the Southern Tier as the coronavirus pandemic drags on past 312 days.

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 and new cases continue to rise in Broome County.

Broome and Cortland Counties are again reporting additional deaths this week due to the coronavirus pandemic.
