The Susquehanna Valley School starts the new week with a new Superintendent.

The Board of Education January 30 announced the appointment of Roland Doig as superintendent.

Most recently, Doig was the middle school principal in the district.

He starts his work as superintendent February 2 with his $140,000 a year contract running through June 30, 2020.

Doig succeeds retiring superintendent Gerardo Tagliaferri.
