Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Authorities say three bodies have been found following an early-morning fire in Otsego County.

According to state police, the blaze at a house at 165 Hone Road in the town of Cherry Valley was reported around 3:45 a.m. April 2.

Investigators say three deceased children were located in the residence.

New York State Police say the father of two of the children was hurt trying to rescue them.

Police have not released the names of those who died while they await autopsy results.

Firefighters from the Cherry Valley and Sharon Springs fire departments battled the blaze

State police are being assisted by the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control and the Otsego County Emergency Management Team.
