Starlight Man Accused of Dealing Drugs Nabbed Running for the Border
Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say a suspect being arrested for narcotics trafficking is facing additional charges after trying to run back into Pennsylvania over the bridge in Hancock.
June 5, Deputies arrested 39-year-old Wilber “Herbie” Tyrrell of Starlight Pennsylvania on three felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance after they thwarted his attempt to elude them.
A Delaware County Grand Jury handed down a Sealed Indictment Arrest Warrant May 30 following an investigation by the Sheriff’s office in cooperation with the Village of Hancock Police Department, Wayne County, Pennsylvania and the District Attorney’s Drug Task Force.
Officials say Tyrrell is accused of selling methamphetamine on two separate occasions and a quantity of Xanax (alprazolam) on another occasion between this past February and March.
He’s now also charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration for his attempted run for the border.
Tyrrell is being held in the Delaware County Jail without bail.
