Marijuana and Daggers Found in Traffic Stop on Route 17

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Two people are facing charges after New York State Police say they saw a vehicle going 85 miles an hour on Route 17 in the Town of Sanford at 11:55 a.m. April 5.

24 year old Thomas Malakatas of Ronkonkoma is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and 25 year old Alicia Pannhurst of Wading River is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Troopers say they found Pannhurst had 10 grams of marijuana and Malakatas illegally possessed two daggers.

The pair has been ordered to appear in Town of Spencer Court.
