Smyrna Boys Charged in Accidental Shooting

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Two Chenango County boys are charged with felony reckless endangerment following a shooting incident on May 4.

Sheriff’s officials say the 17 year old and 16 year old were pointing rifles at each other when the 16 year old’s gun fired and the older boy was wounded in the shoulder.

Both boys were issued appearance tickets for Village of Smyrna Court at a later date and released to their parents.
