Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Broome County Emergency Services officials reported several crashes in the evening hours January 23 when roads quickly glazed over with ice in what they described as a “flash-freeze”.  One crash was a reported rollover on Day Hollow Road in West Corners shortly before 7:30 p.m.  There have been no reports of serious injuries.

Officials are also keeping tabs on river levels as the weekend snow melts and drainage is poor around the region.

Frozen ground and clogged storm drains could add to a potential for water levels to rise on small creeks and streams.

So far no advisories concerning a potential for flooding have been issued.
